Are you looking to take a walking voyage through the
stunning coastline of Northern Ireland?
Welcome to Solviture Ambulando, our exclusive women's walking retreat designed to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit through the serene and breathtaking landscapes of Ireland. Inspired by the Latin phrase 'it is solved by walking', our retreat blends nature, mindfulness, and guided exploration to create a life-changing experience.
This unique retreat will take place June 2026, in some of Northern Ireland's most picturesque locations in County Antrim. Details and open registration are coming soon! Please use this link to stay connected and receive information FIRST (before registration opens to the public)
Please reach us at jennifer@spiralpathjourneys.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
These hikes are labeled Gentle but participants should have a moderate fitness level, as we will be walking 8-12 miles daily over varied terrain. If you regularly enjoy mildly walks or hikes, you’ll be well-prepared. If you're not quite there, you have time to train!
A few items include trekking poles, comfortable waterproof boots, weather-appropriate clothing, a reusable water bottle, and a daypack. A detailed packing list will be provided after registration.
There will be attempts to accommodate your dietary restrictions but this is not guaranteed. We will be staying in small villages and often the BnBs do not have access to the variety of food choices you may need.
Booking Fees for the 2-payment option are non-refundable. Cancellations, after the balance has been paid, made up to 90 days before the retreat will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be made for cancellations within 90 days of the retreat start date. Our full cancellation policy can be read at the bottom of this page.
Yes, travel insurance WITH a medical clause is mandatory for all participants. This will ensure coverage for any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. Highly consider adding "cancellation for any reason" to your policy.
Please consider arriving at least the day before the retreat starts so that you have time to recover from jet lag. You may want extra time to explore Dublin as well!
There will be attempts to accommodate your dietary restrictions but please know this is NOT guaranteed. We will be staying in small villages and often the BnBs do not have access to the variety of food choices you may need.
Participants will stay in cozy, shared lodgings (2 per room) in the beautiful countryside BnBs. Single accommodations may be available for an additional fee; please inquire upon registration.
Bus transfer to our first walking point in Rathdrum is included. You will be responsible of getting yourself to Dún Laoghaire, just south of Dublin for the start of the retreat. Please note that airport transfers are not included.
We will follow a specific and detailed route during our walks. You will be encouraged to spend much of the time walking on your own to get the full benefit of self-reflection. There will be designated free time after our arrival in each village to explore, relax, or enjoy personal reflection. You are welcome to venture out on your own during these periods or rest as you like. We will come together after dinner each night to reflect on the day.
You will have an entire personal day on our final walking day in Glendalough.
