I’m a speaker, retreat leader, and solo travel coach, and much of my work has grown out of more than a decade of traveling on my own, both internationally and closer to home.
Since 2011, solo travel has taken me through long stays abroad, beloved places I return to again and again, quiet domestic journeys, wrong turns, beautiful surprises, and experiences that taught me a great deal about self-trust.
Today, I speak about solo travel, women in midlife, stepping into the unknown, and what can happen when we stop waiting to feel completely ready and begin saying yes to the experiences that call us.
I also lead retreats in England, Ireland, and the United States, and through my Spiral Path Soul Quest program I support women in creating meaningful solo journeys of their own.
I’m the founder of Spiral Path Journeys and the creator of The Retreat Way, where I help aspiring retreat leaders move from idea to experience while developing their own voice and way of leading.

What has more than a decade of solo travel taught me about trusting myself?
I joined Lynzie Smith on The Wealth We Hold for a conversation about solo travel, self-trust, the self-improvement trance, and the surprising relationship between solitude and community.
We also talked about fear and loneliness, learning to listen to yourself, and how my definition of wealth has changed over the years. These days, wealth has a lot to do with inhabiting my own life and being open to the beauty and delight that are already here.
I loved this conversation, and I think you’ll enjoy it too.
What if travel isn’t just about seeing new places, but about finding your way back to yourself?
I recently joined Autumn Carter Autumn Carter on the Wellness in Every Season podcast to talk about the deeper side of solo travel: how stepping into the unknown can strengthen self-trust, reconnect you with your intuition, and remind you who you are beneath all the roles you carry.
We also explored sacred places, retreats, practical travel tips, and why the place you’re drawn to just might be calling you for a reason.
Whether you’re curious about solo travel, feeling called to join a retreat, or simply looking for a way to reconnect with yourself,I think you’ll enjoy this conversation.

Sometimes we outgrow the very spaces that once helped us grow.
Whether it’s a community, mentorship, or coaching group, leaving can be surprisingly hard, especially when there was once so much value there. But when you realize you’ve started giving someone else’s authority more weight than your own, it may be time to trust yourself enough to leave.
I recently had a wonderful conversation with Judy Murdoch on her podcast about my own experience with exactly this on When a Supportive Community No Longer Works for You.
